WFAA is known as entertainment TV channel which is affiliated with ABC and located in Dallas, Texas, United States. The station was established and broadcasted for the first time on Sep 17, 1949. It contains digital and virtual channel eight which is providing its services to Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Initially, it was known as KBTV. The channel works under the management of Tegan Media; however it used different brand names for itself like News 8, WFAA-TV, Channel 8 and News 8 HD. Its secondary studio is situated at the WFAA Communications Center Studios which is placed in Download Dallas at 606 Young Street. WFAA’s first studio was used for newscasting. The channel has an associated with four big networks, i.e., NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox.

The channel’s first application was accepted on 23 October 1944, when Karl Hoblitzella, the owner of Interstate Circuit Theaters (a movie theater chain) applied with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) to get a license and construction permit to operate a TV channel on VHF channel 8. It was believed to be the Southern United States’ first application of license for any of the TV channel.

The channel became on-air for the first time on 17 Sep 1949 at 8 pm as KBTV. It had an opening ceremony of 15 minutes as its first telecast. It broadcasted for one hour in that evening. The station was established and operated by Potter via the Lacy-Potter TV Broadcasting Company; it was controlled by him partially. 104,3 Capital Rock Abitibi is a French Active Rock station based in Val-d’Or and works under the ownership of RNC Media. CHGO-FM’s history links back to 1939 when CKVD was established on 16 October 1939; at that time the channel was using an ERP of 100 watts and frequency of 1200 KHz. In 1042, the frequency was flipped to 1230 KHz, and then in 1943, the ERP was 250 w now. In 1946, the owner of the radio was considered to be the Radio Rouyn Abitibi Ltd. In 1956, the ownership was turned over to Radio Nord Inc. When it was the year 1966, the radio was telecasting on frequency 900 KHz with the transmitter power of 2500 watt for the nighttime and 10,000 watts for the daytime. In 1988, the station ended its affiliation and linked itself to Telemedia Network. On 7 April 1997, the yes signal was given by CRTC to launch a channel at Val-d’Or, and it was intended to replace the CKVD, CHAD and CKRN Rouyn-Noranda are telecasting from Amos.

Legally called as CHLM-FM, also known as Ici Radio-Canada Premiere 90.7 is a French Language Talk and News CBC radio situated in Rouyn-Noranda. Radio Nord established the channel, and it was permitted by the commission to set up an FM dial channel with frequency and wattage power of 96.5 MHz and 51000 watts respectively. It was decided that the channel along with its satellite located at Lithium Mines would telecast the Radio-Canada AM network programming in the surrounding area until CBC got one of its own in the region. In 1979, CRTC changed the frequency of Lithium mines facility upon the license request from 97.3 MHz to 103.5 MHz along with the power that was increased up to 55300 w. In 1979, CHLM-FM signed on the air, after that in 1980 CHLM-FM-1 came into being. In September 1989, Commission denied a request of putting a repeater at Ville-Marie. Both CHLM-FM and CHLM-FM-1 were completely transformed into Radio-Canada AM network’s rebroadcasting facilities. In December 2002, CBC finally approved the Ville-Marie transmitter; it would telecast on 89.1 MHz frequency with a 15900-watt transmitter. In September 2004, CBC acquired permission to get the main Rouyn-Noranda channel, and its Lithium Mines situated transmitter as well.

The license of Ici Radio-Canada Premiere 90.7 and its satellites are validated in May 2013, which would expire in August 2018. In 2015, CHLM-FM-1 made some amends in its authorized contours after that in September 2016 main Rouyn-Noranda station 90.7 also made some changes to the approval of the commission. K103 is first community talk radio of the nation, based in Kahnawake and worked for Mohawk Radio Kahnawake Association. In March 1981, the roots of CKRK-FM was found when Conway Jocks together with Mohawk Radio Broadcasting started an FM station on 103.5 MHz frequency with 50 w transmitter.
